"A hidden delight"
My wife, myself and two friends stayed at this lovely property during the week of
the Royal Welsh Show and were overwhelmed by the friendliness not only of the owners,
John and Karen Jones, but of the local people who frequented John and Karen's pub
at night. The property is very well set-out and has everything you might need. The
furnishings are comfortable and in very good condition. We had excellent weather
during our stay and managed to sit out in the garden. This also gave us a chance
to talk with the occasional passer-by, and walkers tackling Glyndwr's Way. As you
can see, this is a very rural retreat. It is however, a short drive to local towns
Rhayader, Builth Wells, etc, and lies in, and near, superb scenery, including the
Elan Valley. There are also frequent sightings of Red Kites over the house. If you
want to stay in this area you should consider Tailors Cottage as one of your options.
